A Proven Company
Clyde Lee began manufacturing neon signs in 1948 following his service in U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. The U.S. Government had GI bills from which soldiers could choose to learn a trade following their duty to our country. Sixty men began training in the neon sign industry in Russellville, KY in the 1940’s and 1950’s, and Clyde, along with 9 other men, made it through the schooling.
As of 2008, Clyde was the only one left of those 10 men who remained in business after 60 years of working the industry.
A Landmark Company
You can see Clyde’s work in many of our area’s landmarks. When you drive through Nashville and see the L&C Tower, think of Clyde, who first worked on that sign in the 1960’s.
A Family Company
In 1986, Clyde’s son, Brent Lee, followed in his father’s footsteps to the neon trade. In the fall of 1987, Clyde and Brent formed their own company and began Lee Neon Signs Inc. Today, Brent, Kimberly, and Jessica Lee manage the day-to-day operations and Dustin Lee assists part-time in the family business.
A Modern Company
The years have seen a lot of changes in the sign industry and as a result, Lee Neon Signs Inc. has kept up with the times. In 2008, the company diversified into a full service sign company.
A Trusted Company
In June 2011, LEE Neon Signs Inc. lost its founder; a visionary, a patriot, a family man…Clyde Lee. The company will continue in the Lee name into the future of the sign industry, and carry on through Brent and their professional staff, providing quality with a vision of tomorrow, and the personal service of days gone by when you could trust a company with a word, a hand shake, and assurance of a job well done.
